Job Description:

The Senior Director, EMEA Pricing Operations and Emerging Markets, will have three main responsibilities:

1) Driving excellence in Pricing operations: streamlining & monitoring approval processes, managing Market Access programs, Pre-approval Access , FOCs, & bringing Pricing Analytics capabilities to the next level.
Providing high quality analytics support to the disease team and/or to the affiliates.

2) Emerging Markets (CEE, Russia, Turkey, Middle East & Africa): defining the long term Market Access strategy & manage implementation in the Emerging Markets region. He/she will work in close collaboration with the VP Emerging markets and with other functions at the regional and local level (e.g. corporate affairs, logistics, etc)

3) Pricing & Market Access excellence

This position has people management responsibilities, managing pricing and market access resources at the sub-regional level (e.g. CEE, MENA, etc) and managing the pricing analytics team.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Pricing Operations

- Streamlining & monitoring approval processes: map current processes & identify areas for improvement and efficiencies
- Managing Market Access programs: guide affiliates & all involved stakeholders through the governance process for MAPs , PAAs & FOCs.
- Bringing Pricing Analytics capabilities to the next level:
o Supervise all pricing analytics projects & initiatives
o Manage Market Access resources in the Pricing Analytics team
o Ensure development of reports / dashboards and tools in order to meet and anticipate business needs
o Providing high quality analytics support to the disease team and/or to the affiliates.

Emerging Markets (CEE, Russia , Turkey, Middle East & Africa)

- Define overall Pricing & Market Access strategy for the region, including assessment of priorities and opportunities with pipeline assets
- Develop innovative pricing models for access in middle income countries and engage with internal stakeholders to gain their endorsement
- Evaluate and decide on dossier submission and price change requests from affiliates
- Promote Market Access best practice sharing within the region
- Contribute to Market Access capability development in the region
- Represent Market Access in region-specific cross functional priority projects

Pricing & Market Access Excellence

- Support Executive Director of P&MA in CMAC presentations, including management & streamlining of frameworks
- Support Executive Director in cross disease & cross franchise projects (e.g. projects involving multiple disease teams or capabilities projects)
- Support functional communication initiatives
This position will have supervision and / or direct management responsibilities of market access team members

Job Requirements:


- 10+ years experience in health care or healthcare consulting, with experience in years in Pricing & Market Access, Consulting, Finance & Business planning, Reimbursement.
- A bachelor or advanced degree in economics, business administration, health policy or another relevant area. MBA is an advantage.
- Knowledge of other functions including medical and regulatory
- HemOnc and /or I&I expertise would be an advantage
- Ideally professional experience in several countries in operational structures (subsidiaries) and/or in international/global headquarters.
- Familiarity with EMEA/ Emerging Markets reimbursement systems.
Competencies Required:
- Displays excellent business English skills, with first-rate communication abilities.
- Has outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex or technical content in a simple and convincing way to non-technical audiences.
- Has the ability to deliver clear concise message and influence change.
- Has outstanding analytical & problem-solving skills, ability to dissect , analyze complex problems & structure logical proposals
- Has a strategic mindset and outstanding business acumen.
