Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

The EU+ Medical Director will develop and lead execution of the Regional (Europe-Canada) Medical strategy for aducanumab as a late stage pipeline Alzheimer's Disease therapy, and any other dementia pipeline products in clinical development. S/he will provide internal and external subject matter expertise regarding all medical aspects of the assigned products including medical research, communication and education. S/he will lead the EU+ network of cluster and affiliate medical product champions/MSL's.S/he will lead internal medical communication across our EU+ network of affiliate medical product champions.

Accountabilities:

- Develop scientific relationships with researchers, experts and speakers in the field of Alzheimer's disease

- Support external partnerships (e.g. IMI initiatives) on natural history data and health economics data in Alzheimer's disease

- Define and drive cross-functionally aligned development and execution of product-specific EU+ medical plans (strategies and tactics)

- Develop and lead product-specific data generation for real-world evidence and life-cycle management initiatives

- Provide product-specific medical input in the context of European regulatory and other health authorities activities

- Deliver product-specific EU+ medical insights and communication guidance, and lead the product-specific champions Medical network across EU+ affiliates

- Coordinate product-specific external medical education and internal training activities

- Review and support local/regional medical research protocol development prior to and within the product-specific clinical trial review committee (CTRC)

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Medical Affairs at Regional/Global level and minimum of 5 years' experience in clinical development in dementia / Alzheimer's Disease.
- Relevant experience and track record of success in Internal Training and External Medical Education, Thought Leader Management, Medical Research, Communication/Publications.
- Excellent networking skills and leadership capabilities, and proven matrix management experience in multi-functional environment (e.g. drug development) Education
