Job Description:

As a key member of the Hemophilia US Medical team, the Medical Director is responsible for serving as a lead subject matter expert on the treatment of hemophilia, and for supporting the development and implementation of US medical strategy for the Hemophilia portfolio. A summary of specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- In partnership with the Senior Medical Director, lead the development and execution of an integrated Medical strategy for Hemophilia

- Lead specific data generation projects to address identified medical data gaps including Phase IV studies, sponsored research agreements, and investigator-initiated studies

- Provide Hemophilia medical expertise within US Medical and to cross-functional teams. As a content expert, review abstracts, publications, medical information letters, and other medical documents as needed.

-Serve as the Biogen representative on key external partnership steering committees

- Lead content development for advisory board meetings and other US Medical initiatives.

- Present data at external meetings including advisory boards and other consultancy meetings.

- Represent US Medical at other cross-functional meetings as needed.

- Collaborate with Global Medical to ensure Global activities are aligned with regional medical insights and needs

-Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the Hemophilia therapeutic area

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
-clinical experience in the management of Hemophilia, or at least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Medical Director roles in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development) that includes experience in the Hemophilia therapeutic area
- Ability to effectively operate in a highly matrixed organization. The desirable candidate should possess a dynamic personality and have strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Ability to take initiative and solve complex and challenging problems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
-Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Boston area
-Estimated travel 15-25% Education
