Job Description:

The Associate Director of Regional Market Access will develop and execute market access programs for Biogen Idec supporting Emerging Markets with focus, not limited to APAC region (Australia, S Korea, Taiwan & some ASEAN countries). The person will support regional partner, local tactical pricing, adopt global evidence package to support local health technology assessment and reimbursement submissions, engaging with multiple stakeholders within Biogen Idec both at the head office and in the affiliates. The role will primarily support in market products and new products launch. This role must be able to establish strong working relationships internally with country heads, market access heads, and partner functions in the head office e.g., JAEM, GCS, GMA...etc. The position will act as the liaison between local affiliates, head office partner functions and GMAx Regional Market Access.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant pharma industry experience in particular with specialty products is required
- Experience in health economics, patient access and pricing required
- Understanding of the healthcare systems, pricing, access and reimbursement process in key Biogen APAC region ( Japan, Australia, S Korea, Taiwan, China ) is required
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple cross functional projects and related budget required
- Experience in partnership liaison is highly preferred
- Commercialization experience with biologics or pharma specialty products desirable
- Experience in pharmaceutical product development, pricing and commercialization (may be concurrent with technical health outcomes and economics strategy experience) required.
- Ability to manage change and deal with ambiguity
- Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of International health care systems and financing mechanisms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Japanese or Korean language skills preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time required Education
- Bachelors' Degree required, Masters's Degree preferred
