Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the capital project execution of the Manufacturing Support Building (inlcudes Warehouse / Central Labs / Dispensing / Admin Offices) on the new Large Scale Manufacturing facility to be located at the Solothurn, Switzerland campus.
Scope also includes construction of the ambient and cold storage facilties, high bay racking and automated material movement. You will be responsible for execution of the scope (design & build contract) within the financial budget and meeting the schedule requirements for all phases of the project including management of the Engineering/Construction Groups assigned to the project.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Provides oversight and guidance for the Engineering and Construction Firms for project execution at from Detailed Design thru to handover.

- Confers with Project Team on a daily basis to review project status and issues, with necessary follow up actions.

- Coordinates with other project managers on the site to ensure overall coordination of the job, including resources, consistency in execution strategies, efficiency in onboarding, and overall safety on the site, including direct responsibility for safety within your area of responsibility.

- Establishes and maintains relationships with partner engineering and construction firms, general construction contractors and specialty contractors.

- Engages in selection of contractors and ensures appropriate contracts are in place and that roadblocks are removed and partner companies are performing to expectations.

- Interfaces with customer groups on the project to ensure we are designing, executing, and delivering to in accordance to Global Engineering Procedures, including Quality, Site Services, Facilities, and EHS.

- Responsible for ensuring your respective areas are align with project governance, prepare status updates that will be reported in project governance meetings and communications to senior company management

- Compiles monthly status reports

- Development of skills and behaviors that align with the overall project goals, company expectations of potential future opportunities, and personal desire towards career expectations

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
- Languages: English Fluent, fluent in German and/or French and/or Italian an asset
- Demonstrated capability for managing all aspects of project execution for projects over 30M CHF, including contracts, cost management, scheduling, engineering, construction, commissioning and validation
- Must possess excellent communication and relationship skills.
- It is desired the incumbent have experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech engineering/manufacturing environment
- This position may need to travel up to 20%. Education
