Job Description:

The Sr. Analyst is responsible for Patient Services (PS) reporting and data analysis as required to support our call center operations and patient strategic initiative programs. This involves the design, development and implementation of new reports and metrics as well as the evaluation and validation of existing measures. This role is responsible for business analysis to (including recommendations and strategic options to improve efficiency and performance) support the full PS team (internal and external)
1. Develops and designs reports in conjunction with internal teams and partners using Business Objects, Tableau and other tools

- Fulfill ad hoc requests from various audiences across the business and discover effective and efficient ways to query the database

- Design, develop and implement new reporting metrics and modify existing metrics in collaboration with business partners

- Create dynamic dashboards (e.g. operational performance outputs) and update accordingly

- Balance needs of senior management and internal teams through prioritization process

- Support existing reports and perform necessary modifications or troubleshooting

- Identify limitations or issues in the reporting infrastructure and manage the process to have them rectified

- Manage data support for outbound dialer capabilities/outbound campaign management

- Assist in any platform upgrades / testing and act as the liaison between PS and IT for reporting issues
2. Perform business analysis on all aspects of PS including individual, program and general department performance and present data and recommendations to colleagues as well as senior management teams

- Monitor, track, and analyze trends and perform ad-hoc analysis to identify strategic business opportunities and improve efficiency and performance

- Communicate PS data to and interact with other Biogen Idec departments and service partners (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Managed Markets, IT)

- Craft and evaluate business performance metrics in support of the overall PS Goals and Operations

- Compile timely reporting of PS performance results for the PS Leadership team

- Support annual goal setting process and develop periodic contests for support of PS Operational functions
Work with stakeholders (e.g. marketing, strategic forecasting) to understand projected impacts to PS of upcoming initiatives, understand overall PS and Biogen business strategy in order to inform PS performance changes

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of SQL (DML), Business Objects reporting tools (Desktop and Web) and relational databases (required), Tableau experience (preferred)
- Technical proficiency in all MS Office products with an ability to learn new processes and systems quickly (advanced experience working with Microsoft Excel.)
- Excellent problem solving, time management and organizational skills
- Prior experience with statistical reporting and analysis
- Comfortable working with standard operating procedures with focus on quality
- Strong analytical skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills in order to influence cross-functional and interdepartmental performance and to present complex information to front line employees, call center management, and senior executives.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Action oriented, Ability to adapt to change and implement quickly based on overall direction and needs of the company
- Prior customer service experience and technical proficiency in CRM or equivalent systems preferred
- 1+ years in a Patient Services functional role with subject matter expertise in call center best practices and technologies, productivity and quality measures preferred Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
