Job Description:

The Sr Sourcing Analyst, Travel Services will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies in support of indirect spend categories for travel commodity areas including airline, car, hotel, agency and other related areas. The Sr Sourcing Analyst, Travel Services must be well versed in the strategic sourcing discipline and be able to translate that methodology into practical plans for addressing spend. Knowledge of the Biotech/Pharma environment would be beneficial. Advanced stakeholder development skills, project management and working well in a team environment will also be integral to success in this role.

Major Duties & Responsibilities of the Sr Sourcing Analyst, Travel Services include:


- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high levels of service and develop and enforce cost containment strategies

- Act as liaison between corporate travelers and travel suppliers to ensure timely remedy of issues as they arise.

- Oversee travel operations, ensuring system and process requirements are achieved and issues are addressed promptly.

- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand, create alignment and help support their business strategies and objectives.

- Support the development, implementation, and refinement of global sourcing strategies that result in enhanced value, revenue, breakthrough total-cost reduction and continuous improvement for spend in assigned categories.

- Conduct and interpret market-intelligence information.

- Perform industry, supply market and supply chain research/analytics.

- Uncover trends and best practices in category sourcing and outsourcing.

- Share knowledge, insight and advice in a way that contributes to long-term business strategies.

- Identify demand management opportunities and incorporate into appropriate strategies.

- Incorporate strategic sourcing methodology and tools that drive continuous improvement and optimize quality, cost, customer focus, innovation and relationship development within assigned categories.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years working experience, preferably in supply chain, or with exposure to corporate travel management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data to create effective strategies
- Superior oral and written communications skills with the ability to influence all levels of an organization
- Experienced negotiator with working knowledge of terms and conditions, redlining, and dealing with Legal team to ensure lowest possible risk and best value terms for the company
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to shift priorities and manage changing demands with a sense of urgency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as reporting and analysis tools
- Project management experience
- 10-15% travel required Education
- Bachelors Degree required
- MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management and CSPM, C.P.M., or GTP certification desirable.
