Summary of Responsibilities:

Actively lead change management and process transformation activities, potentially on a global scale,

with both internal and external stakeholders. Lead activities related the MetLife's Supplier

Management program while identifying areas for improvement. Actively contributes expertise to the

development and implementation of best practice processes in Global Procurement Vendor

Management & Sourcing Office. Act as a Business Consultant and Trusted Advisor to internal

stakeholders while providing solutions that are customer focused and cost effective. Responsible for

all activities relating to the sourcing and contract management function for professional

services. Coordination and leading sourcing efforts from the business requirements definition

through RFx's issuance, vendor evaluation and selection process, and contract signing.

Critical to the job description is to function with a high degree of customer centricity and customer

satisfaction focus. This includes, and is not limited to developing partnerships and business

relationships with internal and external groups to ensure Global Procurement Team is viewed as a

value-add and responsive team.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Responsible for managing relationships with internal stakeholders to provide insights and

ideas on broader business issues while building depth and trust in relationship.

- Lead supplier management activities including processing and problem solving concerning

invoicing issues, conduct monthly supplier meeting to discuss the queries and concerns

regarding billing and projects.

- Coordinate and drive the rollout of a supplier management program on a global basis,

including necessary change management and process transformation activities to ensure

effective adoption and function.

- Lead all activities relating to the sourcing and contract management function for professional

services

- Broker mutually acceptable solutions to vendor/ contract issues ensuring that outcome is fair

and equitable to all parties.

- Create and work on process documents to keep them up to date for training and other

purposes

- Develop and leverage existing consulting deals and negotiation strategies, and contract

business terms with team, and lead negotiations with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and

legal counsel.

- Effective oral and written communication ability to all levels of management on a range of

issues including acquisition/deal structure, highlights, terms, conditions, pricing, risks and

exposures.

- Perform expense and cost benefit analyses related to consulting services associated with cost

savings/reduction initiatives, benchmark products/services, market and vendors, and make

recommendation based upon analyses.

- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

- No supervisory responsibilities, but requires ability to lead and motivate team members and

provide work direction.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in relationship management, supplier management, contract

management, including negotiation strategy, proposal development and processes, and

benchmarking vendor proposals.

- Minimum 3 years experience in Sourcing with strong background expertise in professional

services (labor) category, Master services agreements (MSA) and Statement of work (SOW)

related activities.

Preferred Skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant work experience.

- Working knowledge of Ariba a plus. Extensive working knowledge of standard desktop

applications (e.g. Microsoft Office)

- MBA or other advanced degree a plus

- 3-4 years of experience in change management, process transformation, relationship

management and strategic sourcing.

- Bilingual skills a plus, e.g. Spanish, Japanese
