Summary of Responsibilities

This role will be one of two supervisors within our Broker Dealer organization and will be tasked with overseeing a team of 16 Principals supporting our annuity product portfolio. This is a new role that is being added to the department as a result of recent regulatory growth and a platform conversion that has added more supervisory responsibilities.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day performance of the department

  • Ensures associates adhere to business, compliance, and regulatory requirements for principal review and for establishing and maintaining new accounts.

  • Ensures the accurate and timely processing and maintenance of all new accounts.

  • Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes, establishes action plans and implements changes as needed.

  • Acts as principal and new account associate when needed.

  • Knowledgeable and is capable of performing every job within the department

  • Monitors quality and quantity of work performed, determines weaknesses and develops improvement programs

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

  • Develops staff through mentoring, coaching and shared business knowledge, setting clear and concise goals through dialog and performance development.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Full people management responsibilities, including hiring, firing, promotions, performance and compensation management and training and development

Job Requirements:

  • 3 plus years management experience

  • NASD series 7 & 24 required

Qualifications Preferred

  • Series 51, 53 will be required in 90 days of hire

  • 63 licenses preferred

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Excellent leadership skills, focuses on the customer, use of sound business judgment, strong organizational skills, detail oriented and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication

  • Ability to problem solve
