MetLife is seeking a Life Wholesaler for our Third Party Distribution Channel to serve as the primary sales contact for general agents, banks and wirehouses in the Southeast U.S. Region. Candidates should possess a strong track record of proven sales, organizational and presentation skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships while driving production. Candidates should be comfortable coordinating marketing campaigns, sales initiatives and business plans segmented specifically to each customer in the territory. Candidate will coordinate external communications with clients and provides status, reports and updates to both internal and external parties. Candidates should be goal oriented with keen attention to detail.

Southeast Region: TN, AL, GA, KY, MS, and Northern Florida

Job Description

  • Works under the direct supervision of a Senior Wholesaler, supporting specifically assigned accounts in a broad territory

  • Services independent general agents, Broker-Dealers, Brokerage Firms, Financial Advisors and/or Banks within the assigned territory

  • Works with customers to create solutions for clients in estate planning, business planning, supplemental income and income tax planning by recommending appropriate insurance solutions

  • Formulate and develop individual and team business plans, conduct general agent and producer training, recruiting of new customers and provide customer service support

  • Conduct product training and product sales seminars both in person and through web technology

  • Supports development of new business opportunities and sales growth by initiating and maintaining strong relationships

  • Responsible for identifying and recruiting valuable partners who understand the value of MetLife's products and services

  • Identifies customer/client needs and available resources to support planned sales activity

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong sales and customer relationship skills

  • Strong organization and time management

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships

  • Self-motivated and driven to reach sales goals in a fast paced environment

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years related experience in Life Insurance or Financial Services

  • Series 6 or 7 and 63. State Insurance Licenses or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
