This individual will be a member of the Mobility Engineering team, working to implement and architect MetLife's MobileIron solution. This role will require a highly motivated individual who has participated in similarly scoped projects in large companies. Responsibilities will include selection, planning, and implementation of mobile technologies

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Mobility Engineering team to facilitate the growth of mobile capabilities within MetLife and collaborates with other IT groups to ensure that computing infrastructures such as Network, Desktop Design, and Server domains are capable of supporting the Mobility demand. Work with Vendor Management as needed to ensure product availability
  • Work with MetLife and vendor teams to select, plan and implement Mobile technologies across the globe. Expand current technologies and implement MDM, MAM and other mobile solutions for MetLife.
  • Provides engineering expertise to all levels of the global organization as needed. Handle high severity impacting issues and provide guidance to operations/vendor teams responding to these issues
  • Works with Finance and Service Management Costing to determine appropriate chargeback of Mobility Services via a Service Catalog. Works with Internal Audit, Legal and other teams to ensure company requirements are met.
  • Works with Operations team to develop and to implement a global support operating model.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of expert knowledge of mobile operating systems, mobile device management systems, mobile communications technologies. Experience with BlackBerry, MobileIron, and similar products, as well as iOS and Android devices
  • 3+ years in a mobility engineering position related to IT within a large mobile enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with large corporate mobility deployments.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related discipline), or 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange E-Mail systems and Active Directory, and iOS development
  • Experience with application development for mobile environments
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, other MetLife teams, and vendors
