Job Description

The Lead Business Systems Analyst will be working with a close-knit team focused on collective success. The associate is expected to utilize structured analysis and design techniques, formulate systems scope and objectives, and provide solutions to business problems. The Lead BSA should be proficient and experienced in large scale implementation of enterprise search solutions with an understanding of how to define requirements for content crawls.

Specifically, the Lead BSA would be expected to have a very good understanding of how information is used in the business, both structure and unstructured information. This understanding will be leveraged to help the BSA prepare detailed search specifications and user experience. The associate would additionally be responsible for user training, usability testing, relevancy tuning and defining best bets/promoted results. The associate would be responsible for defining and reviewing search metrics and presenting regular search reports/metrics to appropriate stakeholders. The Lead BSA will also be responsible to continue to keep up to date on emerging search requirements and ensuring high levels of employee satisfaction with search results.



Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with enterprise search platform (e.g. SharePoint Fast / Google Framework / Google Search Device / Google Search Appliance, HP Autonomy, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience with medium-to-large technology based projects.

  • Knowledge of end-user experiences and their interaction with web applications is a plus

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the individual to simultaneously manage several projects, with tight deadlines, while paying attention to detail and quality.

  • Excellent communication, planning, interpersonal, and time management skills.

  • Strong focus on meeting commitments and deliverables

  • Detail-oriented individual capable of working both independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional responsibilities include the creation of user stories, use cases or other requirements documentation, the facilitation of turnover meetings with appropriate development teams, and owning support processes and second line support for business owners. Should have experience working with both Agile and waterfall SDLC.

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or Equivalent in Education & Experience
