The CRM creative studio sits within the Performance Marketing team, and the wider Customer Experience team. The creative team works hand in hand with CRM marketing and works closely with the wider website creative studio, digital marketing, brand marketing, UX and tech teams. Our role is to create designs and artwork images for digital assets across desktop, mobile and app while being highly engaging and will meet our 20-something audience's practical and emotional needs. The role of the CRM marketing team is to drive customer loyalty and growth across all territories through an understanding of their behaviours and needs. The ASOS CRM strategy must deliver increased frequency of purchase and therefore improved customer retention through a better understanding of customer needs. Email is one of our most important channels to communicate directly with our customers, and therefore it is key to achieving this strategy.

Reporting to the Senior CRM Marketing Manager, the key focus of the Senior Designer role will be to support the CRM marketing and CRM creative studio teams by producing unique and fresh design and artwork executions across all digital collateral including - email newsletters, social media, affiliate banners. You will be a true brand guardian ensuring that all touch points are protected and are inline with the creative vision. An interest in fashion is an advantage. This role manages a mid-designer and an artworker.


The Role:



You will have excellent layout and art direction skills. Previous experience in managing your own projects and managing other designers will be beneficial. A good understanding and demonstrated skills with UI/UX is also useful. You will be producing highly stylish and directional design so previous experience with a fashion/lifestyle brand or design agency is essential. Your design skills and styles are extremely versatile and you are flexible and happy to work in a fast changing environment. As an online company ideally you will have existing experience in a digital design environment, across platforms.

You will have a BA/HND or equivalent in graphic/web design and an outstanding portfolio. You should have great attention to detail, be driven and willing to adapt to change and go the extra mile. You'll be diplomatic, be forthcoming with ideas and initiatives, enthusiastic and a team player and a first class communicator able to speak to different people in a variety of departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:




  • Design, artwork and execution of creative projects as briefed
  • Actively aware of all areas of design across fashion, trends, lifestyle and brands
  • Understand creative vision of department as directed by Creative Manager
  • Understand email/social marketing best practice to enable evolution of assets and templates
  • Engage in test and learn strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of the email/digital creative
  • Be a source of inspiration by bringing new ideas and concepts to work
  • Introduce new ways to present ASOS content in email coupling design and HTML skills
  • Actively responsive to fluctuating business workloads
  • Contribute to other team member's workload as directed
  • Raise workload/resource issues
  • Ensuring all projects are executed within time line and schedule
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all other departments
  • Work with CRM, Digital, Editorial, Marketing and Trade teams to design and deliver excellent visual email and digital imagery with quality and performance
  • Support and guide colleagues



Job Requirements:

Experience

  • Previous experience designing for different digital platforms essential
  • Confident and conversant in email design and execution
  • Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Previous art direction experience essential
  • Previous retail experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in fashion or a proven interest desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
  • Managing other designers or the want to become a manager desirable but not essential
