Booking.com is looking for a Head of Global Media, based in our Amsterdam headquarters. We are looking for someone to focus on marketing across paid channels to effectively and efficiently connect & engage with our audience.

In this role you will be responsible to develop and implement holistic media plans to support the different brand initiatives & campaigns across key global markets. You have a deep understanding of the changing media landscape, and you are an expert in planning against digital, social and traditional channels. You have a wealth of media & communication experience and are driven to create breakthrough work across all mediums.

The key to this job is media success and learnings in marketing across platforms, a strong strategic mindset, driven by data and performance, unparalleled digital acumen, excellent communication skills, expertise in the latest ad technology, and the ambition to execute flawlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage global agency teams responsible for planning, buying and optimization for digital, mobile, traditional and experiential media
  • Define and manage large-scale media investments across all paid media channels from a global point of view
  • Build global and country media strategy & goals unique to Booking.com brand objectives across markets
  • Oversee media planning & buying process, agency team input, in partnership with internal analytical team to best optimize media planning & buying performance.
  • Partner with internal creative & digital team to best build media journey and solutions that will meet our brand objectives globally.
  • Responsible for audience insight knowledge to understand how to best connect to our consumers through media journey
  • Oversee potential media partnerships and sponsorships deals and executions globally and in key geos. Manage strategic negotiations across key media partnerships & deals
  • Set up the right dashboard to monitor effectively media performance and competitive context.
  • Understand the power of data in optimizing media decisions, is very comfortable with deep data-based decision-making
  • Build the team and internal resources & capabilities to meet the new media requirements for Booking.com.
  • Manage and grow our internal media team.

Job Requirements:

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record of 12+ years of media/marketing agency and/or advertiser experience, with planning expertise across the entire media ecosystem (from digital, social and mobile to TV, OOH and Print)
  • Strong experience in digital, social and mobile media planning & buying experience
  • Desired Media leadership experience at global or Geo level
  • Experience in aligning brand positioning, performance strategy & goals.
  • Proven track record in delivering innovative & creative media solutions
  • Preferred in depth knowledge of programmatic planning & buying
  • Understanding of how media strategy can impact brand position and decision making funnel from awareness through consideration to conversion.
