We are looking for a dynamic and strong leader for our employee technology group. Our operations are growing rapidly in California and outside the U.S., increasing the need for seamless collaboration and the anticipation of employee tech requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience building and leading a large, geographically dispersed team, have an in-depth knowledge of enterprise solutions (strong understanding of Google apps/tools), be a thought leader in emerging technologies that support our growing global employee population, and demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the overall vision, strategy, and execution for the technology serving Netflix's growing global employee base (2300+ across multiple global offices and time zones)
  • Lead and develop a team of over 60 IT professionals to form a world class IT service function that includes Employee Technology, Enterprise Operations/Services, Network Engineering and Infrastructure, and A/V Support
  • Serve as the lead owner for the company on the quality of employee technology offerings, including global video-conferencing, Google Docs/Drive, and other collaboration tools
  • Work with key enterprise vendors to identify and further the functionality of SaaS solutions, and collaborate with internal clients to identify and build tools that support employee productivity and infrastructure needs
  • Partner with key business stakeholders (global security engineering, product engineering teams, Facilities team) to further business goals and provide consistently high levels of employee technology service
  • Develop and help lead strategy around technology support and software development for Netflix growing content studio and it's portfolio of production projects
  • Own the technology experience in conference rooms, screening rooms and general audio/video collaboration to keep employee meeting space efficient and productive

Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • Familiarity with leading edge technologies, including Google's suite of collaboration tools, such as Docs/Drive/Hangouts and experience working in a large cloud environment (AWS, Rackspace etc)
  • Familiarity with IT-related security trends, topics and approaches
  • Experience managing a 24x7x365 global based support org

Position reports directly to the CFO and can be located either in Los Gatos or Los Angeles.
