Job Description:

The Web Product Manager role, based in San Francisco, will be responsible for driving the development of a conversion and engagement driven user experience that accommodates the distinctly different behaviors for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile users. You will work with the Product Management team to lead the development priorities of new, and optimize existing, features and functionality for Viator's B2C websites. You will liaise with key business stakeholders to develop clear, concise Product Requirements, and carry them to execution as part of an agile Scrum Team. You are intimately familiar with the varied user distinctions across Desktop, Mobile, and Tablet users and will apply this experience to boost user engagement and improve site conversion per channel. You have 2 to 4 years of experience in B2C web product management with specific and applicable experience with Mobile and Tablet product management. You closely monitor competitors, are an expert in website best practices, oversee quality acceptance, and serve as user champion. You are expected to be a thought leader with the ability to concisely articulate your perspective and provide constructive feedback. A technical background or commensurate practical experience is required for this position as you will work closely with our engineering teams and other technical product managers on a daily basis. The Web Product Manager will report to the Senior Product Manager.

Job Requirements:

Summary of essential job functions Partner with the Product Owner for viator.com (Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile) to deliver impactful features. Use customer & market research, customer and user feedback, and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and enhancements focused on site discovery (including search engine optimization), e-commerce conversion, user engagement, and user retention Maintain the product roadmap with key business owners and stakeholders, set clear executable priorities Communicate the state of projects across teams as well as to executives and customers Create annotated Product Requirements with stakeholders; lead requirements refinement in collaboration with UX, design, and engineering teams Translate product requirements into user stories and work with engineering to scope product releases Use Adobe SiteCatalyst and other analytics tools to evaluate site performance, track the impact of new features and functionality, and identify areas of opportunity Liaise with key stakeholders to define marketing/business requirements with a laser-like focus on improving user engagement and conversion; gather requirements from around the business Manage technical projects, track progress towards milestones, and keep tabs on all the moving parts of agile planning and development cycles Partner with engineers to understand what they are working on and the challenges they are facing Have a passion for the web, follow emerging website technologies and be an expert in website best practices Strive for perfection but love to release, learn and iterate 2 to 4 years of product management experience 1 year experience managing a smartphone-optimized site Proficiency with agile development and teams Proven ability to create Product Requirements Proficiency working with web-based tools (content management systems, etc). Proven ability to create, analyze and communicate analytics and performance metrics (previous experience with Adobe SiteCatalyst, Discover and Test and Target a plus) Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize Ability to collaborate with a global team, across multiple time zones Work across time and distance barriers to facilitate effective communication - both within the company and externally Be prepared to occasionally work out of usual business hours when required to teleconference with Australia or Europe, as necessary Familiarity with travel industry concepts, practices and procedures a plus Able to travel to Sydney Australia multiple times a year
