We are looking for a motivated team lead to oversee the retention and account management of vacation rental managers in Europe. S/he will be comfortable building and managing a team of account management executives, as well as partnering with product, marketing and engineering teams as needed to accelerate the growth of the client base. This team is tasked with nurturing a significant portfolio of business comprised of clients who have access to holiday homes. This role requires a proactive, motivated and organized candidate who will be able to work in a fast past, team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment. The role will be based out of TripAdvisor offices in Oxford, UK.

This role will combine excellent leadership & team management skills with strong negotiating direct with major clients. In addition this candidate will have the ability to build out a comprehensive account management strategy, as well as contribute to global strategy decisions. S/he will have a strong background in business development, sales and sales operations, with a track-record of managing teams that hit and or exceed goals.

The role will report to the Director of Business Development at TripAdvisor Vacation Rentals and will be accountable for supply growth against established metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, lead and motivate an account management team responsible for growing revenue from of professionally managed vacation rental listings
  • Achieve and exceed specific target / goals as set by management
  • Generate and present reports to inform company of supply acquisition progress.
  • Communicate relevant and tailored solutions to clients based on their individual business and manage a team that does the same.
  • Effectively communicate the company's value propositions to the internal team as well as property manager clients and industry partners.
  • Analyze the account management team, make adjustments in team as necessary to reach established goals.
  • Attend and occasionally present at various industry trade shows, conferences and events.
  • Help establish performance goals for the team and monitor progress towards reaching them.
  • Innovatively seek out new opportunities for existing customers which contribute towards the revenue goals of the business
  • Perform sector research - work with marketing to create outreach materials that educate and enhance the experience of the clients using the product
  • Other duties, as necessary, to ensure smooth running of the European business

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of account management or sales experience, preferably in digital online media with demonstrated consistent success with target achievement. 2+ years of team management experience within a sales or account management discipline
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrated success establishing and building strong and profitable relationships with clients.
  • Sound business judgment and integrity
  • Self-motivated, thorough, flexible, with a hands on approach and demonstrated ability to multi-task and think creatively.
  • Not intimidated by technical interaction. Must enjoy problem solving and be unafraid of technical solutions to ensure successful launch of products
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach
  • Proficiency with CRM, preferably Salesforce
