As a key leader within TripAdvisor's global Human Resources organization, the Vice President of Global Human Resources reports directly to the Chief People Officer, and is responsible for leading the global Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) organization at TripAdvisor. This is a newly created role that will be based in our Needham, MA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

The leader in this role will work closely with the Chief People Officer (CPO), the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), HRBPs and key business leaders throughout the organization to develop and scale a strategic, business focused HR organization which enables the delivery of business results. This role requires deep experience and demonstrated success with HR team development, organizational design, and change management. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the CPO to build and develop a world-class HRBP team.

In addition to the above, the Vice President, Global Human Resources is responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with CPO and HRLT on the definition and execution of the overall HR strategy
  • Work with senior HR colleagues and business leaders to build and execute timely, effective and scalable HR programs and processes, which support the business. These include (but are not limited to) employee relations, leadership development, talent assessment and development, workforce planning and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws globally. Provide leadership in the area of employee relations and ensure the fair and equitable application of TripAdvisor's policies and practices
  • Identify opportunities to use technology to enable the HR service delivery model
  • Provide HR leadership and support of M&A and due diligence activities, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The Person:

We seek a dynamic, innovative, nimble and business focused global Human Resources leader with proven experience building, developing and leading teams of HRBPs in support of a rapidly growing global organization. The individual selected for this role should bring knowledge of best/emerging/innovative HR practices, as well as a demonstrated ability to adapt and evolve such practices within a fast-paced global environment. This person must demonstrate comfort with ambiguity, the ability to drive change, and be a results oriented team player. This individual must possess top-notch HRBP skills themselves, particularly in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, organizational design and development. Additionally, this leader should have experience utilizing technology to enable an HR service delivery model. As this individual will lead a global organization, prior experience in a global HR leadership role is desired. Technology background, or experience in other high growth, dynamic global organizations, is preferred.

The ideal candidate has 15 or more years of experience as an HR leader, and is a self-starter with an inquisitive nature who can anticipate and preempt problems and create an environment of continuous improvement. High levels of creativity, flexibility, influence, and strong operating and execution skills will be critical to the success of this individual. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as are strong relationship building skills and comfort working in a matrixed environment.
