TripAdvisor is hiring a Senior Marketing Specialist to work in our Needham, MA office. The Senior Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing online marketing campaigns with a strong emphasis on video content marketing that will help build the TripAdvisor brand and engage travelers. We are looking to accelerate our growth by extending existing programs and rapidly testing innovative new activities.

The Senior Brand Marketing Specialist will design and implement communications programs that drive brand awareness and consumer engagement. These initiatives will include leading the development and distribution of online video content and developing promotional brand partnerships to secure online brand placements.

This position requires a result-driven, creative and detail-oriented marketer eager to bring new ideas to the table while delivering campaigns with a strong bias towards action that fits our entrepreneurial culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Offer big, creative thinking that will deliver needle-moving results.
  • Develop campaigns that engage consumers and produce the best brand engagement and business results for TripAdvisor.
  • Plan, develop and distribute online video content
    • Test variety of content types to assess what will engage travelers
    • Partner with social media team to distribute content based on editorial calendar
    • Partner with internal sales teams to explore opportunities to monetize content
  • Develop and execute strategy to exchange site advertising inventory for placements on other non-travel websites to extend brand reach
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, vendors, etc. to implement these programs in an efficient and very cost-effective manner.
  • Evaluate campaign results including the application of the relevant test structures and metrics to ensure that each campaign is achieving optimal results.
  • Work with internal and external creative teams to develop creative.

Desired Skills & Experience

Job Requirements:

:

  • 3-7 years of experience in consumer marketing campaigns, preferably with experience in both online and offline channels. Online video content development or TV advertising experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills required to build and effectively manage relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously and under very tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to plan and organize programs and coordinate development of creative and media materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to think analytically and to evaluate marketing effectiveness using online and offline metrics.

In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following competencies:
