Position Overview
EAN's Sr Business Analyst is a key member of both the Finance team and our Loss Prevention team, and works closely with a number of cross functional teams such as Finance, Product, Partner Connect and Expedia Inc. Risk. Responsible for driving the reporting and insights that will minimize EAN's preventable losses and lead to millions of dollars in savings in a dynamic and rapidly changing business environment. The Sr Business Analyst will be critical to building our understanding the drivers of loss (fraud & non-fraud) and focused on reducing these losses in short & long term.
Responsibilities:
Analysis and reporting owner for EAN loss prevention initiatives
Perform analysis to help identify areas of opportunity for fraud chargeback & non-fraud reduction
- Develop a framework for systematically identifying partners with greatest opportunity
- Analyze partner integration data to understand drivers of poor performance
- Prioritize/recommend partner specific actions to improve performance
Create automated/scalable reporting solutions that can be used to manage loss prevention initiatives
- Work closely with Sr. Risk Analyst to understand what insights are needed on regular basis to manage partner fraud on day to day basis
- Work closely with Director of Loss prevention to understand what are insights are needed on regular basis to manage non fraud chargebacks on regular basis
- Create automated reporting using various BI tools (Tableau, Qlikview, etc)
Use the knowledge/expertise that you'll develop around the EAN business to drive better business practices
- Identify areas of risk that can be mitigated by leveraging analytics & insights
- Make recommendations to Product team on enhancement to our API's
- Work closely with our partner integration specialists to understand how/why our partners use our technology

Job Requirements:


- Strong SQL and high proficiency with excel are required
- Experience with BI tools (such as Tableau or Qlikview) is required
- Problem solver with strong analytical skills and ability to convert raw data into actionable business insights
- Good communication skills: verbal, written and data presentation (be able to tell a story with the data)
- Team-player with Innovative approach to problems
- Self Starter that can work independently
- Experience in fraud and chargeback is a bonus
