In addition, using data and risk based tools, the Senior Reliability Engineer is responsible for proactively identifying potential equipment related issues that could impact production.

The Senior Reliability Engineer is also responsible for significant interactions with peers as well as Operations and Technical Operations leads to provide the results of technical evaluations within their areas, including recommending actions to address identified issues and mitigating risk.

Job technical responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Being the reliability engineering focal point for integrated process teams (IPTs), including interfacing with team members, utilizing established reliability tools to understand risk and status of mitigating actions.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Define, design, develop, monitor and refine the preventive/predictive maintenance processes and precision maintenance techniques.
  • Perform root cause failure analysis on equipment failures and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Serve as technical liaison for capital projects to ensure reliability, maintainability and operability of installed equipment.
  • Monitor the performance of equipment reliability metrics, investigate variance from targets and implement action items to improve performance.
  • Provide technical support for production area quality deviation investigations

Job leadership responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Team leadership, including coaching and guiding team members.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Military or other, equivalent technical field

Required Experience:

  • Four(4) years' experience in a functional area, such as Operations, Technical Operations, Technology, Engineering, Maintenance, Military and/or previous supervisory experience
  • Four(4) years' expertise in industrial manufacturing, maintenance, industrial engineering and/or reliability engineering.

  • Very good general computer skills, including Microsoft, Word, Excel and Access.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability professional (CMRP)
  • Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Effects Analysis
  • Computerized Management Maintenance Systems (SAP).
  • Two (2) years' experience in supporting relevant manufacturing or processing (aseptic/sterile, bulk, solid oral dosage, packaging, utilities etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of High Performing Organization tools and methodology, including Lean Six Sigma Methodology
  • Demonstrated experience of interacting with site, divisional or regulatory audits
  • Working knowledge of cGMP for pharmaceutical and/or vaccine manufacturing.
