  • Teacher and coach to effectively transfer Lean and Six Sigma skills into the organization
  • Partner with and consult functional leaders, plant managers and their leadership ????teams to develop plans and execute Six Sigma projects?
  • MMD MPS Associate Director will be responsible for & have capability for the following:

    • Leverage extensive Six Sigma experience and understanding of MMD's strategy to ensure improvement activities, kaizen, projects are aligned with business strategy and objectives.
    • Influence and link improvement objectives to the highest division priorities
    • Utilize various Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques to diagnose, analyze and improve business and manufacturing processes
    • Deep process analysis and Value Stream mapping to effectively drive systems improvements
    • Define and apply appropriate performance management systems to processes to drive results
    • Provide expertise and mentoring to Six Sigma Practitioners, Stakeholders and project teams in order to apply the right set of tools, DMAIC or DFSS, to the right problems
    • Develop and manage continuous improvement processes (Visual Work Place, Statistical Process Controls, etc..)
    • Apply behavior coaching techniques to influence decision making and to guide continuous improvement activities
    • Facilitate Six Sigma training across MMD while developing others as future trainers and coaches

    Develop and continually enhance Six Sigma training curriculum, program standards, and competency development process to build and expand Six Sigma expertise across MMD

    Required Experience:

    • Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a related field as well as hands-on experience with application of most of the following Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques: Standardized Work, Scientific Problem Solving, value stream mapping, SMED, mistake proofing, 5S-Visual Factory, PDCA, DOE, Hypothesis Testing, Statistical Process Control, Regression, ANOVA, Capability Analysis, Tolerance, Reliability, Nonparametric Analysis, and advanced DFSS methods and tools
    • Candidate should have extensive experience in analyzing end-to-end supply chains, and leading Six Sigma projects to drive end to end improvement
    • Consultative skills: ability to influence decision making, ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams), project management skills (demonstrated experience in managing large teams), solid business acumen, proven team building skills, exceptionally good listening skills, results oriented, strong analytical skills, and prior process improvement experience.
    • Coaching ,Teaching and Inclusion skills: Proven experience in coaching and teaching others to think, behave and apply Lean and Six Sigma methods and tools. Experience enabling and leveraging diverse perspectives, talents, etc to achieve business outcomes.
    • Leading the development and execution of Lean and Six Sigma training programs, including training and development of internal coaches and trainers to create self-sustainment within each business unit.
    • Excellent skills using IT applications to organize and analyze data (MS-Access, MS-Excel, Minitab or JMP)
    • Extensive operations management experience

    Preferred Experience:

    • Extensive Lean and Six Sigma application experience, understanding and successful application of TPS. Experience in operations management, manufacturing, or related disciplines
