  • Ensuring scientific accuracy and integrity in the review and approval of promotional/informational materials from Global Human Health (GHH) Marketing and Global subsidiaries while ensuring compliance with current corporate policies and procedures. As a reviewer and approver, the Senior Scientific Specialist (SSS) is an integral part of the Promotional Review Team.
  • Responds to unsolicited questions from healthcare professionals (PIRS) both in writing and speaking with customers - discusses in-depth scientific and medical topics with customers.
  • Presents directly to Managed Care Customers in response to requests for Pipeline Information.
  • Facilitates the development of internally and vendor produced medical educational materials.
  • Prepares and delivers scientific lectures and training.
  • Provides subject matter and scientific expertise to headquarter and subsidiary personnel.
  • Represents the department and acts as spokesperson as requested.
  • Collaborates with the SSS Management Team in the development of Global Medical Information and Operations (GMIO) or SSS Department initiatives, helping to identify and lead in areas where the SSS Team can add value.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications Education:
  • Required: Graduate degree in Science or Medical-related profession (e.g. MA/MS/MSN/PA/Pharm D., Ph. D)

Required:
  • Exercises a high order of Medical/Product knowledge
  • Minimum of (2) years experience in a Scientific role within the Pharmaceutical Industry, working in a regulated environment, or Military experience.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong medical writing and medical presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • 10% Travel

Preferred:
  • Experience in the Hospital, Managed Care or Pharmaceutical industry setting, or equivalent
