  • Process ownership for end-to-end CRO sourcing processes, ensuring alignment of expectations and intent across projects and functional areas.
  • Maintain and manage outsourced study list and support for the Development Network Committee activites. Advises clinical teams on vendor and market capabilities and prior performance.
  • Actively collaborates with and provides guidance to vendors to assure new capabilities and services are developed to meet future Merck needs.
  • Collaborate with Research Procurement to identify external vendor/partner candidates who can deliver the required services/resources for studies across the entire Clinical Development portfolio.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or ex-US equivalent with a concentration in Business, Technical, or Life Sciences with a minimum of 10 years of clinical trial experience OR advanced degree with a minimum of 6 years clinical trial experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Preferred:
  • A minimum of (4) four years vendor management experience with staff supervision responsibilities
