Key objectives include:
  • development of a framework for how Merck will select and engage with member sites,
  • methodology for how the relationships with those network sites will be managed, maintained and measured,


This individual will collaborate with Regional Heads, senior level site personnel, Clinical Scientists, CSSM and other key stakeholders to ensure the right sites are selected and supported in their nomination and maintenance within the Merck Preferred Site Network.

Incumbent is responsible for improving Global Clinical Trial Operations' study planning and recruitment milestone reliability associated with Merck Preferred Site Network performance:
  • accelerated study start-up
  • patient recruitment and retention,
  • driving innovations to support the long-term portfolio,
  • supporting the framework for collaborating on the Merck portfolio, including early planning tied to feasibility of trials and leveraging competitive intelligence data sets to enhance operational strategy,
  • ensuring Merck Preferred Site Network sites are effectively leveraged within GCTO's portfolio, including providing operational and scientific feedback on protocol design and providing assessments of patient burden.

  • A minimum of 7 years clinical research experience
  • Experience interacting with clinical research site personnel to support site initiation, patient identification, recruitment and retention.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with both Merck HQ structure and processes
  • Established network of contacts within HQ
