  • Support the marketing teams in their development of brand specific MCM and CE strategies
  • Lead local "content factory" implementation including customer journey mapping, automation and customer experience engineering.
  • Innovate by staying up to date with key trends and digital tools, and develop innovative digital solutions to meet our customer needs.
  • Build strong analytic capabilities to better understand the success of our digital campaign as well as behavior and channel preference from our customers
  • Manage the team of MCM specialists to develop strong competencies on new channels and digital tools and platforms.
  • Strengthen Merck Canada's marketing and sales team's capabilities by rolling out targeted on-the-job and training initiatives to raise the level of digital technologies/marketing expertise.
  • Act as a change agent.
  • Strong collaboration with Global and Regional MCM & CE teams to accelerate the-use of best practices and content. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and agencies, recommend channel and vendor investments.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications Education and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or other related discipline.
  • Postgraduate Degree (asset)
Minimum Experience Required:
  • At least 5 years of broad Marketing experience including marketing across multiple platforms/channels in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer health or related industries (with demonstrated excellence in digital marketing)
  • At least 2 years of people management experience with strong leadership and development skills
Skills/Knowledge Required
  • Solid experience and a strong understanding of digital marketing, key emerging platforms and technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of relationship marketing and customer activation including knowledge of customer segments, needs, channel usage and preferences.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize insights as input to the MCM strategy.
  • Develops new insights into innovative solutions that result in stronger customer engagement and value
  • Promotes a work environment that fosters creative thinking, innovation and rational risk-taking.
