As a Sr Infrastructure Engineer I, within the End User Computing Unified Communications team, you will be the trusted source for the strategy, architecture, standards and product implementation that enable the enterprise to use rich voice, persistent chat and web technologies to facilitate knowledge sharing thru a unified user experience, which is consistent across multiple devices, locations and media types. In your role, you will be leading the technical direction of platform(s) or set of applications within the End User Computing Technology portfolio, providing consulting expertise, leveraging business and technical knowledge to support business and technology strategies and deliver business value. This position plays an integral role in the design, build, enhancement, implementation and support the platform(s) or set of applications in terms of robustness, scalability, availability and efficiency. You will work with Technical and Business teams to support initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end enterprise solutions that transform our workplace while adhering to American Express Technology standards.

Job Requirements:

- Collaborates with other infrastructure teams to design, build, enhance and integrate products and services within American Express Technology

- Responsible for providing technical thought leadership in the development of solutions (i.e. approach, methodology, features, and benefits)

- Understands the business and technical requirements, supports or leads teams performing infrastructure initiatives in terms of design and architecture, as well as support the implementation of solutions utilizing industry best practices

- Responsible for the quality of deliverables in terms of the technical design, implementation, testing, implementation, operational readiness and adherence to compliance standards

- Act as a technical lead, where appropriate, as well as oversight of new products and new technology refreshes/releases are successfully progressed from inception to deployment

- Develops architectural design processes, procedures, standards roadmaps, lifecycle plans for the range of products supported

- Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner

- Interacts with business partners and/or product owners to share and direct solutions that meet business requirements and delivery expectations

- Identifies the technologies to deploy based on price, performance, service agreements and organization constraints

- Plan and implement structured validation and test processes to provide evidence that new or changed services will support the requirements of customers

- Provide tier 3 product support when issues arise that are unable to be addressed by tier 1 and/or tier 2 support teams

- Conduct and/or participate in Proof of Concept (POC) and Pilot activities. Develop and recommend solutions with supporting decision analysis documents with results from POC/Pilot

Required Skills:

The successful candidate will possess strong technical acumen and experience in the Unified Communications portfolio, including Voice, Messaging, Mobility, Conferencing, Networking Protocol's and Video Technology platforms including: o Acme/Oracle o Avaya o Cisco o Microsoft o Atlassian

- Possess deep understanding of architectural concepts (data, technical and solution), issues and market trends.
