Senior Manager responsible for growing and managing relationships with business-to-consumer companies located in Austin/Dallas, TX area.

You'll be the main point of contact for approximately 29 clients within an exciting portfolio and will be responsible for managing and expanding American Express' merchant relationships through consultation and creativity.
  • Managing, deepening, and improving relationships with fast-paced dynamic merchants and respected brands
  • Developing and implementing strategic account plans to strengthening American Express' business by growing charge volume, improving share, and increasing profitability
  • Specifically responsible for expansion and penetration of American Express Card acceptance within each customer
  • Evaluating business problems and opportunities, identifying and selling in appropriate solutions to meet clients' needs
  • Partnering with internal colleagues to create, sell-in and implement relevant partnership and marketing assets
  • Increasing American Express' relevance by customizing and reinforcing our value proposition, including managing financial discussions with merchant

  • Strong business knowledge and financial acumen

  • Creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills, ability to think broadly to match or create appropriate and new solutions with client needs
  • Self-motivated with ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to remain flexible and manage change in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the Merchant business and/or the U.S. payments industry and portfolio geography are pluses
  • Must be personable, engaging and confident
  • Position is virtual with ideal candidate residing in Austin/Dallas, TX area
  • Overnight travel is minimal
  • Bachelor's Degree required
