Job Description:

This position is responsible for ensuring that calls are routed in a manner that will add relevance and satisfaction to American Express customers. The qualified programmer will be a part of a team of high performing technology analysts that support VR and Switch interfaces with the Cisco ICM/UCCE. The routing systems used include Cisco ICM/UCCE, Avaya and various Network and local Voice Response providers. The candidate should have a working knowledge of intelligent call routing and intelligent call processing. The candidate will be required to make routing changes to these systems to move calls from site to site to improve servicing. A rotating 24/7 on-call coverage is expected as a component of the job. Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for programming, development and 24X7 operation support of World Service's U.S. call delivery platforms
  • Call distribution via multiple media such as Cisco ICM/Geotel, scripting, CMS and Avaya Switch configuration
  • Interface with peer groups to ensure strategic and operational alignments
  • Provide project and analytical support for design and implementation of strategic objectives for Customer Service
  • Develop intelligent routing rules for CCM clients to ensure project objectives are met
  • Review daily operational performance challenges
  • Program, analyze, troubleshoot, and test solutions for problem resolution
  • Analyze risk and exposure for call delivery and business rules arbitration and recommend

Job Requirements:

  • Project Management experience with Cisco ICM Programming knowledge to organize, plan, and control major assignments in various stages of development
  • Experience working with Cisco Intelligent Contact Manager
  • Ability to arbitrate and negotiate between all levels of managements and within World Service
  • Training in or equivalent knowledge of Cisco ICM, switch, and network routing
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal and independent problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a proactive, flexible self starter, organized, with attention to details
