Job Description:

This position will support 2 Vice Presidents within the Chief Technology Office organization who are responsible for the core platforms and systems underpinning American Express technology and the American Express mobile applications. The ideal candidate must be capable of handling a wide range of administrative related tasks and be able to work independently and confidently under pressure. Building strong relationships and being resourceful will be critical to success in this position and knowing how to navigate large, complex organizations fluidly will be beneficial. The ideal candidate must have the ability to interface and work with senior level leaders, use considerable discretion and independent judgment.

The individual in this position will have responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:
- Be the initial liaison and primary communication of the Vice President (VP) office for all senior leaders, teams and external client/partners
- Work alongside the executive assistants of the VPs that report into these VPs
- Organization and maintenance of complex calendars using a high level of integrity, managing across senior leaders of American Express Company, different time zones, and international markets
- Organizing internal and external meetings including team events, making all necessary arrangements including sending invitations, booking rooms and arranging catering
- Making complex travel arrangements including air, hotel, transfers & visas
- Assisting the VP with appropriate email delegation, booking meetings, and reacting and corresponding on behalf of
- Prioritizing what is important and urgent
- Acknowledging receipt/replies on behalf of, etc.
- Ensuring timely preparation and processing of expense reports and invoices, review expenses submitted to leader for approval and highlight any out of policy spend
- Ensuring timely processing of weekly payroll and exception requests
- Manage CareerTrack and Recruitment process, re-location and new hire coordination
- Document/presentation creation and maintaining organization charts
- Assist in maintaining departmental budgets, services procurement, supplies and other administrative support tasks
- Ad hoc project work as directed by leadership

Job Requirements:

- The candidate will ideally have previous experience of supporting Senior Executives within a high-paced, complex environment
