The Sr. Director, Finance – Global Marketplaces is a critical role responsible for leading the finance and strategic support for Marketplace performance and growth around the world. This includes, but is not limited to:

* Oversee budget, forecasting, and financial management for all aspects of Marketplace businesses, which includes supplier partnerships, performance, and additional financial management * Support the ongoing marketing, analytics, key business and customer KPIs, and channel growth for Walmart Marketplaces. * Leading the development of new business and seller models for the organization and supporting financials to support investments and opportunities * Working with cross functional leadership in Merchandising, Marketing, Site Operations, and Technology teams to understand and help execute the company strategy. This includes understanding business and customer drivers, analyzing key assumptions and business levers, competitive intelligence and doing analysis to drive results for the business -Serving as a key partner with stakeholders across the business to evaluate new business ideas and opportunities that enable executive management to make "go/no-go" decisions. -Working closely with key partners and sellers to manage financials and business results for fast-growing advertising business

While this position supports senior management of Walmart.com, the role must be able to work effectively with all levels within the organization. The position also involves interaction and coordination with Wal-Mart US Corporate finance and strategy. The position will manage two direct reports.

 

Position Description

 

Analyze and evaluate new business models for growing Marketplace initiative with an objective to greatly accelerate the eCommerce business in near future by understanding competitive landscape, evaluating potential customer/supplier offers, managing the P&L, budgeting and forecasting for this business, evaluating new products and services, monitoring the performance of product, services, and customer/suppliers, and reporting to management on trends and variances to ensure continued improvement and growth of the business.

Integrate store business with eCommerce channel strategies to support and drive growth by leveraging operations of stores working directly with store leadership to better align with eCommerce, examining competitive landscape of products and services, identifying areas of growth or elimination of products and services, creating P&L for integration initiatives, analyzing resulting financials, forecasting sales and profits of recommended products and services, and monitoring execution to determine changes required for continuous improvement.

Oversees the execution of core finance processes (for example, monthly close, monthly forecast, annual budget) by leading and directing Finance Team members; communicating clear expectations and milestones to team members and business partners; and driving continuous process improvement. Directs and oversees the execution of complex financial analyses by enforcing disciplined financial analysis methodologies; establishing financial targets (for example, baseline, strategic); identifying, engaging, and aligning senior cross-functional business partners; using business intelligence and market analysis to identify opportunities and cross-business linkages; mitigating risks; determining sales and profit forecasts and long term outlook for new and ongoing initiatives; and producing financial models and forecasts that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks. Directs and oversees the execution of complex financial analyses by enforcing disciplined financial analysis methodologies; establishing financial targets (for example, baseline, strategic); identifying, engaging, and aligning senior cross-functional business partners; using business intelligence and market analysis to identify opportunities and cross-business linkages; mitigating risks; determining sales and profit forecasts and long term outlook for new and ongoing initiatives; and producing financial models and forecasts that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks. Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration or related field CFA certification 4 years experience in retail finance 4 years experience in ecommerce finance. 6 years experience in advanced financial analysis, including modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis.
